16.12.2002 - The Fair OGT-2002 - Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan, the great international exhibition entirely dedicated to novelties concer-ning prospection, extraction and distribution of oil and gas, will be opened today in Ashgabat. The fair, in which numerous foreign com-panies from all over the world take part, is now at its seventh edition and is an appointment of great importance for all major companies of the sector, interested in consolidating their presence in a region characterized by enormous energetic potentialities still largely unex-pressed. This already traditional exhibition will be also supported this year by a specific conference on the subject The development of technological potential of the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, during which the possible forms of cooperation between principal in-ternational companies and Turkmen companies operative in this sec-tor will be illustrated. In this sense, therefore, the conference fits per-fectly in the framework of OGT-2002, which in fact is also an impor-tant occasion of meeting for foreign companies interested in finding a Turkmen commercial partner for the realization of joint productive plans.
Both events have been organized by Chamber of Commerce and In-dustry of Turkmenistan of Ashgabat and by Ministry of Oil and Gas Industries and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan. For all those who are interested in participating in both events, we remind that the Fair will be held in the Expocenter of Chamber of Commerce and Indu-stry of Turkmenistan of Ashgabat in Shevchenko street, 36 and it will be opened till 18th Decembre from 10.00 to 18.00, while the Con-ference will be held in the same days from 9.00 to 18.00 in the halls of Business Center Serdar in Novoarchabil'skoe avenue in the mo-dern quarter of Berzengi.
