The transmission of television programmes in Turkmenistan is run-ned by NTRC National Television and Radio Company, a state corpo-ration entrusted with the realization of
radio and television services. The principal television channels are Altyn Asyr, Yaşlyk and Miras, broadcasting in Turkmen. In any case for the Russian-speaking po-pulation resident in the country
there is as alternative the Russian language channel ORT.
