For visiting Turkmenistan it is necessary
to have an entry visa issued by a Turkmen di-plomatic legation. In order to obtain it, it is
necessary to have a passport with a mini-mum period of validity of six months. Since in Italy there are not
Turkmen diplomatic le-gations, Italian citizens can apply to General Consulate of Turkmenistan
in Paris. Also it is possible to visit the country with a visa ob-tained by means of an invitation of a Turk-men organization previously authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the coun-try. It is however a quite complicated proce-dure, advisable only if you are going to
